There are days when I just want to turn on the television and put on one of their favorite programs all day. I know that wouldn't last long they will watch it for a few minutes and then start playing with their toys and getting bored. Lately I've been feeling like that more and more with being at the tailend of my pregnancy with baby #3. Often times I'm always on pinterest looking up activities and ideas to teach the girls in a fun way. I want to make sure they are learning as much as I can teach them before they are ready for school. Also developmentally wise I want to make sure they are on track. Yes everyone learns at a different pace but at least they are being exposed to what they need to. Here is one of the activities I found on pinterest that I recently did with the girls. I saved a few toilet paper rolls, and the construction paper and colored popsicle sticks I bought from the dollar store.

Keeping little minds busy is hard work, free time to play is important too. During the week I try my best to have a set schedule through the day. That way they know what to expect and get into a familir routine even at home. Since being at home is still fairly new to all of us, I've been trying different methods of setting a schedule. I believe setting a schedule can be hard but it is worth it.
Here is an example of a schedule:

Education is important and so is their relationship with Christ. There is nothing wrong with wanting to teach your children educational and biblical principles. Every chance I get I am instilling Godly values into an activity. You are setting them up for a wonderful future.
