All About Hair!

Today is only Tuesday and I have already had to wash and style my oldest Olivia's hair twice. Yesterday she got something stuck in it and I couldn't get it out. Today she decided she was full from her lunch but thought I it was fun to play in what was leftover and put in her hair. I made her take a shower and I washed and styled her hair, then she had to take a nap. I normally only wash her hair once a week and stlye it twice a week. For Naomi I wash her hair every two days and moisturize it everyday, once in awhile I can put a few little braids in the front of her hair the back is too short.

I am not the best at styling their hair but it comes out decent enough for them to be out in public haha. Olivia is 3 years old and at the stage where she wants to pick out her own clothes, dress herself and even pick out her own hairstyles, we look on pinterest for ideas. Some of these hairstyles she chooses I do my best to replicate even when I think I have done a terrible job she says loves it.

Naomi is 1 year old and has an afro her hair is still growing. I am working on figuring out which products work best on her hair to help it grow. That way I can style it more than a few little braids in the front of her hair and she can get use to me styling her hair.

With this new baby soon to be here in a few weeks, I will not be using any of these products for hair care until 1 year old when her hair texture and curl pattern is established.

My hair texture is just like my babies the curls are tight I normally keep it in two strand twist so I am not not combing it daily.

My auntie did a wash and go hairstyle on my hair over the weekend and my curls are more defined, a little looser and more easy to manage. I never thought I could achieve this hairstlye because of my hair texture and low porosity of my hair products normally sit on top of my hair and I am always moisturizing it daily because my scalp and hair gets dry easily. I really like how it came out so I will be attempting to replicate this hairstyle sometime next week.

This I recently bought and so far I love it, it cleanses their hair really well. I was searching for something tear-free since my little ladies aren't fond of washing their hair. Olivia says the water gets in her ears and Naomi doesn't like the water in her face.

This I use if I am just styling their hair. If O jist wash their hair I don't need it since their hair is wet and detangled already.

This is use for styling their is also a kids verison but I feel it is the same exact product. I also use this is my hair.

I used this to keep their hair moisturized. I also use it in my own hair.

She used a leave-in conditioner to maintain the moisture in my hair.

She used Kinky-Curly Curling Custard to get the curls defined and separated in the state it is now.

God blessed me with these babies and all this hair to do even my own and it is truly a learning process.
